DAMFIX Dry™

The 2-Part Earth Dam Sealing System

Product Overview

Seal your earth dam faster with the innovative DAMFIX Dry™ 2-part sealing system.

Designed specifically for new earth dams and empty dams requiring repairs, DAMFIX Dry™ uses an engineered polymer-clay composite that bonds with the soil to create a long-lasting, natural seal. Unlike synthetic liners, the seal becomes part of the dam’s soil structure, preserving the natural appearance of your dam while dramatically improving water retention.

A Smarter Way to Seal Earth Dams

Traditional earth dams rely solely on natural settlement, which can take 12–24 months before an effective seal develops.
With DAMFIX Dry™, the settlement period is accelerated to just 3–12 months, allowing your dam to become fully effective much sooner while still forming a strong natural barrier. Actual settlement time depends on soil type and the quality of compaction.

How It Works

This 2-part application process is a long term solution, focusing on an accelerated settlement period. It is typically used for sealing new dams or repairing existing ones that have been completely drained. The seal is not a visible liner, but becomes an integral part of the dam’s soil matrix, resulting in an unspoiled, natural dam environment once settled.

PART-1 | Brown Bucket

Build the Foundation

The brown bucket is applied to the prepared soil before the dam is filled.

This first stage creates the foundation of the seal by blending the polymer-clay composite into the topsoil and compacting it into place. Once water is introduced, the material expands and bonds with the surrounding soil to form a dense, impermeable barrier beneath the surface.

PART-2 | Red Bucket

Consolidate the Seal

Once the dam has filled and Part 1 has activated, the red bucket is applied directly onto the water surface.

Using natural water pressure, the polymer penetrates the compacted layer, locking the entire seal together and accelerating the final settlement process. This essential second step completes the DAMFIX Dry™ sealing system.

DAMFIX products perform best in larger dams where sufficient water pressure assists the polymer bonding process. In dams measuring 1000m² or smaller (small dams / ponds), performance may be reduced due to lower water pressure. Product suitability should therefore be considered according to dam size and conditions.

How It Works

Step 1

Spread part-1 evenly

Step 2

Till part-1 into the soil

Step 3

Repeated compaction

Step 4

Fill dam and apply part-2

Before & After

Ideal Applications

DAMFIX Dry™ is recommended for:

  • New earth dam construction
